Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program
At Clara Barton High School for Health Professions, we proudly partner with B&H Emergency Medical Training, an organization approved by the New York State Department of Health, to offer a one-semester Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program for seniors.
EMTs are trained first responders who provide life-saving care in emergencies before patients reach a hospital. This course is taught by certified EMT instructors who come directly to our school and prepare students for the New York State EMT Exam and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification.
Through hands-on training and real-world instruction, students gain critical medical skills and knowledge that prepare them to thrive in healthcare and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
