Clara Barton HS Safety Alert Update: The shelter in was cleared at 3:30pmOur in school community is safe. As of 2:55pm Clara Barton High School is in a "shelter in". NYPD has called the shelter in due to an external event. Students and staff will not be released for dismissal until NYPD gives us the all clear.

Celebrating Juneteenth On this day in 1865 federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas and read General Orders No. 3: “The people of Texas are informed that, in accordance with a proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all (enslaved people) are free.” This day became a federal holiday on June 17, 2021.
